I read too much. Okay now I know people might say that you can't do that but for me reading was my way of escaping the job that I was in. I would just not deal with what was going on at work and so I read. I did this in school too. Have a fight at school read, not understand the Math homework read.
I read some books from the school libraries but for the most part they were too short and dumb. I found that the books my dad had were much better. So I dove into:
Katherine Kurtz: The first like 9 of her Deryni books
Anne Mccaffrey: Crystal Singer and some of Dragon Riders
Piers Anthony: Phase, and as many Xanth books as I could
Isaac Asimov: Norbie was my first and then many others. I head off on Foundations because I did not like Math, I should not have read the last one because it was a horrid ending.
All the Classic BattleTech novels
Terry Brooks Elf stone of Shannara
Lots of Classics and Stand alone books from the 70's and 80's.
And about 15 years of a Fantasy and Science fiction magazine that my dad got.
All of that was before College
Once I moved out I slowed down on the reading thing since new life and newly married. I did start going to the library but not much stuck out.
When I got settled in a call center job I started reading again as I had more time but not too much. It was the past two years when my I changed departments and went from having bosses that were humans and knew how to manage humans to bosses that were micromanagers (yes that is a type of demon) that only know how to to drive away people who want to work smarter and not harder. I had 3 levels of Micromanagers above me and I could mostly deal with it until they started to try to control what I did on my off days. But I digress. It was in the past two years that I found and started reading LitRPG. I would list out what I have read but that takes much too long.
That being said I will say right now my favorite three are
Blaise Corvin The first guy I read in the LitRPG outside of Webnovels ( I read the 3 Delvers books and stopped because I want more of that series)
Eric Ugland my most Favorite right now but I want more of the good guys. I have not read any of the bad guys.
Dave Willmarth: I read all of the Shadow Sun and am waiting for more also I read Battleborn.
As for me I am the father of 6 kids all under 13. My wife and I run a Photography Studio now, Home School, and are working on building Facebook groups for M-arketing. (so it turns out the word M-A-R-K-E-T-I-N-G is spam)Interact
