Login Accepted - Incipere Online Book One Review 7/10 Via LitRPG Podcast In 2049, the Singularity has emerged from the depths of the internet, and the world is better for it. Earth has entered a golden age of technology, and man and artificial intelligence share the world in peace. For those that aren't satisfied with the physical humdrum of Earth, the Singularity's people eagerly welcome humans into their home of Incipere. But new golden age or not, the world keeps on turning as it always has, and it still isn’t always datum and daisies. Just ask Athos Aramis. After being mugged, stabbed, and left with a critical spinal injury, Athos’s last option is to trade one machine-supported life for another and let his mind be downloaded into the world of Incipere. Thanks in part to some outdated guide books, his journey is less than ideal, and as the newest alchemist of Incipere, Athos must learn to survive as he goes. His biggest lesson? Incipere - and its denizens - shouldn't be taken lightly.
I can't wait for people to start reading it! I've been pumped like you wouldn't believe. It may have a few endings to the journey, but damned if I'm not going to enjoy this. Just something to learn for next time.
Thanks, Tom. Things are going well so far. A few reviews aren't so kind, a few are positive, so I think time will tell. (3.48 stars right now on Goodreads).
Well, I loved it. And even my Minion(tm) had a hard time trying to edit it because she kept getting caught up in the story when she was trying to work on it. And that... just doesn’t happen. I’ve never heard her gush about a book like she did IO. Hell, I did a substantive edit on it, and those of you who’ve gotten substantive work from me know how in-depth and picky I am. And even I couldn’t come up with much of anything - this is honestly one of the best LitRPG books I’ve read in a bloody long time. I can’t recommend it strongly enough, but since I have a vested interest in it, I’m not going to be posting a detailed review of it anywhere (I consider it an ethics thing, since there’s money involved). Just do yourselves a favor and pick it up.
Working on Book Two right now. The RD for Hacked is up on Wattpad in a rough state, and Book Three, Fragment, is being born as we speak.
Don't worry about the bad reviews. Some people just like to put other down. Beauty, and good books, is in the eye of the beholder. Write for the readers who love it.
If I was doing it for others, what would that make me? I have a story to tell, and honestly, I just want to tell it.
So, writing a blurb for my advertising. How does this sound, guys? The fight for his life is over, and Athos Aramis is given an ultimatum: be downloaded into Incipere and leave Earth or die.
It sounds okay, but the stakes aren't high. As in: that's not much of a choice. Why would you choose to die?
What's really at stake if he doesn't make that choice? Like is his death the only thing he'll prevent? Will his arrival in Incipere mean something for that world? An ultimatum is usually between two very difficult choices. And it just doesn't seem that difficult for me.
