This is the latest book in the Gamer Girl universe, starting a new series with a new Gamer Girl characters (though she was in the first two books as a minor characters). Amazon Wish me luck. The previouis 4 sold fairly well, and the last one (April) sold amazingly well.
Wait, are writers like actors? Is saying good luck bad and we're supposed to say, "Break a Pencil!"? Wouldn't that be the equivalent of a leg for a writer? I'm not sure of anything.
Thanks! First day out wasn't bad. I try to avoid publishing on Tuesdays, since that's Trad Pub publishing day, but I just wanted it out there.
I just uploaded a 2nd edition, chapter 1 completely rewritten. My usual editor was sick, so I went with other I use sometimes, and she didn't have a problem with Chap 1's slow start. Regular editor bought and read it on the first day, and e-mailed me immediately. Chap 1 is crap. DAMN. So slow, too passive voice. So I had to rewrite it and I just finished uploading it. Mostly, I cut a lot of fluff, got to the hook faster. Hopefully I didn't kill the book's chance at success.
