Dragon + Outline + Caffeine + Amazing Wife + Obsessive Personality The editing hell I'm in is a byproduct, too...
I've done 110k words in 30 days. With a few 10k days each in there. It's possible but that was when the muse had me by the throat and demanded I write.
Fair enough. It's just difficult for me I suppose since I have uni during the day ): #sourgrapesofwrath
Yeah, I need to do lab work in like 4 hours because some genius decided it would be great to do some writing for 5 hours in the middle of the night lol On the plus side I now have the start of a cool world and a pretty nifty magic system and 3.3k words is not bad going especially at the start when all the threads are coming together
I still work a full-time job on top of writing. Now my big days have happened on my days off, but I used to routinely knock out 4k to 5k a day. AW4 is a little slower as I'm trying not to spoil some of the things I want to do for book 5. Which is slowing me down as I've had to go back and rewrite at least a dozen chapters, in one case completely removing one. So it's not just about being full-time, sometimes the story is just a little trickier to write as well.
Yeah. I'm finding going back to book one after having a more clear idea of books two and three, I'm able to do a bit more on foreshadowing and fix problems in the first edition.
Achieved my 50k word goal for the month yesterday, even as I finished the first draft of my Portal Fantasy novel. Whew. Just in time.
The sheets look great! I should get off my butt and get involved. I need to get back into the swing of writing. (and I should have written today because of NaNoWriMo, but I had a really, really tough day and I have literally zero muse).
Thanks. I hope to get back to producing new words once this move is over and done with finally. Have some gold!
Making decent progress and I like the consistency I'm getting but I need to get another chapter done at least once a week to hit my goal of 135k by the end of the month. Finally pushed out 3 chapters (6100 words) today so that's a good start. Just need to keep up the pace for the rest of the month.
