Hey y'all! I'm not sure if anyone has posted about this yet, but I want to read LitRPG from other countries like Japan, Korea, Russia, etcetcetcetcetc. Something that has to be translated for me to read it basically ._. Don't need the big names since I've read those already, but any other suggestions are welcome! The story can be in any form, too! Manga seems to be really popular for this genre apparently?
well, a lot of the big litrpg authors are Russian (Vasily Mahanenko, Michael Atamanov, Alexey Osadchuk, etc) so I'm not sure what you're asking for? More obscure Russian authors? for east asian, there's a ton of webnovels. Here's a starting point:
Manga has some that are fairly huge - but also discontinued. You'll still get ones like Life Howling and Dusk Howling, which are great for like, hours of reading - then end. There's an entire category on Quidan (a translated web novel site) that is purely for "Game elements" and has some really long running stories. Some of those are also CHINESE PEOPLE RULE AND THE REST OF YOU DIE AND BECOME LOOT. So, that can be dicey too.
I only ever follow American authors, so I don't really see other nationalities until I ask! But this is a great starting point, thanks
the other major Russian author block is litworld: Andrey Vasilyev (Fayroll), G Akella (Realm of Arkon) and John Gold (Project Chrysalis) another webnovel starting point: Series Finder - Novel Updates
