I think that Thought Magic is the same Colour as Richters Enhanced Imbued Arrow, a whitish bluey, with a pale hint of silver I think.

Your right my bad. I thought during the maluseum battle water and air were partially blocked because of their proximity to light. But you are correct.
There is something going on. I recall dark magic being increased during that battle too. Spoiler: Book 7 Know This! You have entered the influence of the Mausoleum of Saginald! -100% Spell Strength to Life magic -50% Spell Strength to Earth and Water magic -25% Spell Strength to Light magic +100% Spell Strength to Death magic +50% Spell Strength to Fire and Air magic +25% Spell Strength to Dark magic Interesting how it is even around the mandala. I would have thought that both dark and light would be reduced.
For every element with a positive bonus its opposite has the same except with the reversed prefix. For death its a positive 100% bonus with a negative 100% for life, for dark its a positive 25 % bonus and for its opposite a negative 25%. Its likely the mausoleum was set up this way, with the lich getting to choose one Power out of each of the four elemental pairs to strenghten/ weaken proportionally. So with that in mind it makes sense that dark and light cannot both be reduced or increased.
Aleron has said in his latest FaceBook video that Gods Eye will have a Different Magic system the The Land, which makes sense since - a), Earth and most of the rest of the universe unlike The Land wasn't made up of all the different Magics in existence, b), It seems that it will have a strong connection to the Labyrinth, c), The Chaos Lords have a lot to do with both Earth and causing the Shift in Earths existence, d), there is no long standing Magic Background and Traditions like there is in most of the rest of the Universe. Will be interesting to see how it's different and if the System is also different in anyway?
