I don't get why people think entrances can be built so far away, the only other dungeon discussed with more than one entrance doesn't have widly spaced entrances. They aren't scattered over Yves only multipule entrances in Law that implies a limited range not bigger than the city, probably constrained by being a tunnel to the physical part of the dungeon. I would guess so you can have entrances at different levels of the dungeon, so people can skip the early levels if they are high level
Isn’t that what the nodes are for? My understanding is that you walk over to the pedestal and push the one you want to go to as long as you have previously adventured to it. The dungeons expanse is created by its inter dimensional expanding. All the nodes are portals to the next expanse. Tell me where does the series say you must tunnel out for new entrances?
Where does it say entrances are portals? Nodes are not portals, its a different mechanic that allows fast travel to any node you have peersonally travelled to. Our only textev for multiple portals in yves places them all within the city of Law. I'd guess they can be placed within the bounds of the domain, maybe x miles further away. I have to agree with Black that skipping the early levels by taking a different entrance seems redundant. More likely there are multiple entrances so people can enter from different parts of the city. This also allows people multiple exit routes.
Probably multiple entrances in and around the City, possibly also in close by bigger cities/towns in Ives. For bypassing lower levels and getting to tougher levels in a Dungeon using Mini Nodes would be more likely then specific Entrances.
Does anyone know if we have had a scene from the dungeons perspective since Roswan became the keeper? I'm curious what the dungeons opinion of him is, like does it accept him as part of it? Does he talk with it? Or does it still want to eat him like it does Ricter?
we are told a bit about its intentions during the battle with the lich. Its implied that it had a fundamental desire to protect them.
Knowing that dungeons have the ability to create avatars what kind of avatar would Ricthers Dungeon make?
Any one think the Dungeon might have a motivation to gain the different forms of its harbinger? Like if different forms exist between the pretty basic Shale adder and the somewhat godly chaotic reptile, do you think the dungeon would have a motivation to gain the the whole tree or nah? Examples (base form) uncommon : Shale adder Rare : (dark) umbral adder (causes blindness when in contact) (air) Aural adder (limited glide/flight) (easy) Rock adder (heavier scales /defense)
I haven’t until you just mentioned it. So you mean like one for each of his PoP powers? My only thoughts were about the Chaotic bloodstone Manifesting into so type of corporeal blood covered avatar. I always think about the guy coming back from the dead in Hell Rasier. Something like a biped blood crystal constantly soaking in blood.
Like one for all the powers. Including ones that aren't part of the mist PoP, deeper magics, completely non magical, just the whole tree of possible snakes that stem from the initial state of a Shale Adder
I was contemplating leveling and growing the dungeon: Dungeon Consumes: MANA - light balls, light sphere, Explosive energy wave from the Litch domain... So lets either send some mages every day to cast their max MP reserves to make a bunch of "consumable light bulbs" OR build a mana pilon to allow mages to channel their MP's to the Dungeon a New building but still great for channeling mp to Dungeon and also leveling magic for the casters. Blood - its a blood dungeon, 0.5 liters of every villager with massive dungeon DP's bonuses we will in one day get one more level for the Dungeon! Beasts - Charm them, Blood magic them, stun and carry them with mist workers.. herd them.. Living enemies - great source of soul energy and power New Dungeon Rooms required: Soul room - to consume souls and their energy Scry room - lets find HeMan and harvest him a few more times!(we have his body & blood) Jewelry workshop... Training hall Arena - better training but with timely healing, no one should die.. Armory
I can see the dungeon eventually awakening every known magic. It could possibly have entire dungeon lairs devoted to each magic. Each of those lairs could have its own avatar.
Lair for Frost Wolves, Fire Foxes, Rock Hounds, Bile Rats(greater?, maybe even Barrow Beasts?), Light Weasels, Magi Carp, ect.
Everyone knows I am a protagonist for the building of a dungeon slaughter house. I would like to see Ricther build a marblized bloodstone and quartz ziggurat right on top of the dungeon. It could be used for slaughtering the live stock where the dungeon could gain points from the blood. It could also contain several other rooms like a soul traping room, blood casters chamber, or a blood summoning room. As the livestock are being processed the entire Ziggurat would start to pulse as the dungeon was being feed.
