Hi, everyone. I'm Declan Heyse, a non-fiction book editor by day and a writer/gamer/nerd/other things by night and sometimes weekends. Although it definitely dates me, I remember dropping a quarter to play the original Pong in an arcade on the Jersey Shore as a kid. Which makes it a little shameful that I never realized until a few weeks ago how LitRPG/Gamelit had become such a huge subgenre of its own. Blame a self-employed schedule, writing other things, and a house that needs a lot of work, or at least that's what I tell myself. Still, stumbling across how many of these stories and book are available now was a happy accident. Especially since I was working on comic-erotic book about a kinky gamer who mods up his game ("Amazons of Icehelm," over in the New Releases Forum). Until then, it had just been a free-time lark I was writing for fun, and assuming that it would have a potential audience of three or four people at most. Then I ran across "Everybody Loves Large Chests," which led me to the next author, and the next, and the next... I'm still learning my way around here -- and the LitRPG field itself -- but very glad to have discovered things.
Howdy! I’ve come to this forum only a couple of days prior so I’m a newbie too But I’ve already liked it here. Such a cozy place! Hope you’ll like it too
