I used to play online text only role playing games on the ROM codebase. Possibly the most addictive thing on the planet. Wondering how many of you are even old enough to know what I'm talking about, or if you did play what did you think of it? -Nyar
My battle notifications in Tower of Gates are an homage to MUDs of days gone by. I played way too much in college. I had the midnight to 8 am shift in a computer lab full of VAX terminals and very few students. Haha. After being hooked on text-only ones, I shied away from newer MMO's for the most part as I fell into corporate America. Nice screenshot...man, I spent so many hours doing that stuff. So fun to role play with just text. Ahh...the memories! A lot of Easter eggs in my writing for people that played these.

Hello, I'm a new member and looking for an inspiration to write my own version of web novels, which involved coding and designing web page rather than just posting novel texts in platforms like RRL or QI Inkstone. Recently I have an idea to improve reader experience in web litRPG, googled around for research and stumbling this forum. I also read something like MUD and other interactive fiction things that spark my interest but I don't really know them well since I'm not English native and things like that aren't popular in my country.
