Book 9 Release Date

I have this feeling that book 9 will not be released this year, especially with the almost radio silence in regards to a publishing date.

 

I have seen on Patreon and the discord the “still hoping to release this year” in the last 2 weeks. Well next week is December, so either they are going to tell us in the next week it’s coming out at the end of the month or it’s a 2022 release.

 

Its a december release. A 2022 december release.

 

Who does he think is stealing his content?

Given that most of his jokes are near direct copies from movies and TV shows, how is what he does any different?

 

Lmao @ anyone who takes so much pride in taking from others then cries foul about someone taking from them.

 

There is a difference between jokes and references vs copying entire story arcs mostly word for word.

Races, character archetypes, magic systems, etc. are rarely original. Its almost always either copied or inspired by earlier creations.

 

While aleron is likely taking things a bit far. The basis of the concern is not without merit. There are several authors that I read the do not allow any fan fiction of their work. Apparently sometime ago there was a legal fight over some aspect of a fan fiction turning up in the actual work, and the fan wanted a pay day. I don’t personally know the specifics of it, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the author never read a fan fic they are usually terrible.

 

Given the fact we are in December with no release in sight, I think it’s safe to assume 2022 for book 9.

Anyone else just getting burned out waiting for it? I’m starting to think I need to just detract myself from its following as it’s just constant disappointment.

 

If he was more honest with his release timeline from the beginning it wouldn't be so bad but the repeated instances of false hope have annihilated my excitement for his books. I just wish that I could find another series I liked as much to replace Chaos Seeds.

 

I'd like to recommend trying out the audio book for Golem Dungeon. Not only is the mc a native dwarf turned dungeon core, the narrator sounds like a grumpy old dwarf. Its also an amazing story that takes the core mechanic seriously putting in limitations and giving room for things other than the Dungeon to matter. 5 our of 5 stars, I like it better than I like the Land, even though there are some cliche fantaasy story elements.

The only thing the Dungeon can spawn is worthless in combat. Its all about what automatons the Dungeon can craft, with the author having at least some slight idea what he is talking about.

 

The KEY phrase is HONEST.

At this point we must realize Aleron isn’t lying to himself or he isn’t a realist. He has done this so many times he should be capable of giving a realistic timeline. Aleron has written enough books for him to know how long it takes to format his thoughts Inyo words. In my opinion it comes down to his consumption of time. Having too many irons in the fire, constantly trying to be his own PR guy, with talks about movies, comic books, and with branching into new series he is killing himself. He can keep telling himself he can do it all but when micromanaging you lose perspectives. It’s not that he isn’t smart enough to do it it’s all about the hours in a day.

If he were willing to give a guy his book. Then say extract the lines from my book and create a comic book for them it would be okay. Really Aleron shouldn’t need to do anything besides write. Other people should be taking care of everything else. Instead it seems to me he is trying to do to much. That’s why I think he can’t meet his own deadlines.

 

On discord they said he just confirmed no book 9 this year. Womp womp.

 

Not much of a surprise for all of us here. Now we just have to see if it comes out 2022 or 2023

Mayhem will be released in may of 2025 as a publicity stunts for ‘The Land’ anime first season release.

 

I honestly think Aleron could get a netflix series if he focused on cranking out more books and ploughed the money into building up the fanbase. Meaning advertisements to bring the series attention outside of the litrpg community, which for all of Aleron's flaws is well within the realm of possibility. Its a solid series.

he is either not devoting much time to writing the book or he is in constant rewrites because he is worried about another book 8 reception. If you go years between releases, you can’t really afford for them to flop.

 

I think that it's more of the former than the latter........also, book groupies
