This is going to sound silly but would that come with some coaching on how to use facebook ads effectively? If it did I would write 10,000 words per day almost every day to make sure I won. But that would work. How would it be funded though? Would the participants put some money in the pot? I'd be up for something like that I would just be afraid of hurt feelings.

Yeah, I need to think it through more. I'd just run the ads from my account likely. Hrm...

The way it works is that Paul foots the bill for the 50 dollars of Facebook ads with the provision that you sign up for one of his online seminars about how to use Facebook ads. At 500 dollars per class, these seminars are quite the bargain. I'm joking.

If you win the competition then you must sign up for his class for 49.95 entitled "How to run a great Facebook ad on a nickel."

Eh I took a day off. All I had to look forward to was my uncle's D&D game so I figured I would do something productive with my spare time.

Okay these word counts are starting to get to me. I need to reel it in a bit or I'm going to seriously burn out. Tomorrow will be a softer day. It has to be or I'll go nuts.

Today I was feeling burned out. It is time for a small break. To those that have been following me and giving me support through this process, if I haven't said so before, thank you so, so much. I really appreciate it more than you know.

You've got a good total for the month. Don't burn yourself out.

You're definitely right, I don't need to burn myself out doing this stuff. I have the desire to do all of this as fast as possible and get as much done as I can, but I got into this because it's what I loved. What fun is it if I destroy myself doing it. I reeled by daily goal back a bit. Instead of going for 7k I'm putting in for 5k each day. I did that today and didn't feel like complete crap at the end of the day. I probably could have gone 7k but that plus a horrific shopping trip would have left me a jittering mess.

So I came off of my first two day vacation in a LOOONG time and WOW was it nice. I hit my novel with a renewed sense of vigor. From how refreshed I felt I realize that I should probably start giving myself at least one day off per week. I think one reason I'm pushing myself so hard is the returns on my books. I feel that they are doing good, but the pay per page Amazon gives us is kind of low and visibility dips after a short amount of time so I keep thinking that I have to keep pushing hard or I'll be forgotten. However, it's not worth my sanity to write moderately large amounts every single day of the year to do. I'll just keep writing and do what I can. Fate, what little advertising, and the quality control I place on my books will have to do the rest. It's not the most comforting thought, but I can only do what I can. I'm the perfectionist type, so that's a concept that is kind of hard to let myself accept.

A slow start but I got there. I need to go to bed earlier so I can start writing earlier.

Seriously impressed by your word counts per day. I am just back into the writing groove after some time off and I'm happy to get 1500 per session. I know that when I get into full force I can put down a decent 3500/hour, but it feels so far away right now. Great job!

WOW! 3500/per hour in a session is just a foreign concept to me. I don't think that I could ever write that fast, even with a crystal clear idea of what I wanted to say. If I was dictating and had good software, then maybe, but if I could write that fast I'd be finished with each novel in 8 days. *Has happy daydreams of this*

Thank you for the support Paul and Tom. It's tough to keep going sometimes, but the important thing is that I'm still going, even with everything that's happening in my private life right now.

I've been slacking off a lot this past couple of days. I'm coming up on the end of this novel but with everything going on right now I have a little trouble staying motivated. But, I push onward, ever slowly reaching the end of this book.
