Richter powerleveled the dungeon and dungeon specialty by funneling battle into there? Would he be able to powerlevel techs by working with other nations? Maybe he could convince Nexus to help him somehow? This thread is a brainstorming list for how Richter can get around the checks and balances and grow his and the MV's power quickly.

I do very much appreciate the idea of creativity and looking for that edge!

    Dungeon:
Feed bugbears, trolls, goblins, etc to it.. make them work the fields/dungeon mines hard for a few weeks before we harvest them though!
Capture multiple beasts in the forest and sack them to the dungeon..
Funnel bugbear army into the dungeon traps like the sands of the siren cliff..
Harvest aggressive Chaos seeds there.. after binding them to PoP.
Trade with The Hearth three to get beasts and other sacrificial items for the dungeon.. with the Portal standing there it should be easy to consume the gifts.
Ransack other dungeons and give their cores to our dungeon? Use a magic core on our Dungeon... or sack it(yes after discussing with Rany,Hisako.. building 10 other core builgings , core golem, then dismatle them etc.....then sack it...)
Trade using nodes.. insta teleportation to multiple other nations and buy/sell stuff.. sell bags of holding full of stuff
Power level Roswan.. to have a better DK...
Read a few books about Dungeons.. Explore the labyrinth at least once every 2 weeks...
Get all the books about dungeons that you can..
Try mana cultivation there.. to increase ur affinity in magics..
Get Demon blood, mauler blood, to the dungeon.
Rituals to strengthen the dungeon? did this with the quickening tree.. al least sack one egg form Asengay queen egg sack.. for growth.
Lure powerful beasts into the dungeon that you can kill.. Summon Deamons there.. oh we are getting somewhere now..

    Nexus:
is tough sanava bitch.. but sure make a deal, trade.. offer stuff..
before that one should find out what leverage you could get on him.. or gifts..
Also make sore to get his blood for our dungeon somehow => deal or tricks.

Rest of the buildings just use the core on each possible building.. then use it for a day, use up all ingriediens, level up the craters, builders, carpenters, spellcasters..
, f.e. Create a Mausoleum(With the coffin of a Death god retrieved from the Litches cave.) for a day, in the seppuker, Then let Beyan summon his familiar. Summon the Nien dude as a servant. then the next day.. disassemble the building and build something new.
End result we will get some really good shit for little investment. Use up all the ingredients and level up.

Just steal the research from others.. or buy it, trade for it. be a viking and privatize those blueprints.
You could hire the specialists too.. but for basic stuff no need to waste time inventing it.. we must research special to MV research like Core Forge stuff.

Want power? Build a Mechanical CORE GOLUM!

Techtreaties are likely already a thing. We also know tech manuals are a thing, but not how they are made.

I imagine there are some severe limitations on how fast tech can be transferred and obviously most nations would be reluctant to transfer their secrets to their economic competitors, whether or not they have a political + military alliance.

The fastest path to power is expansion, by which I mean expanding his population as he already has more territory than he can put to use. This can be done by taking in refugees from Yves, or he could reach out to the other woodland tribes nearby. Not just the minor tribes living within the mist that the kindir promised to introduce, but also the minor tribes living in fear in the vicinity of his borders, caught between the bugbears and the mist. Convincing them to enter vassalage in return for the right to relocate to the lands within the mist would be a major political victory and it would not cost Richter much in terms of blood or gold. The kindir would know the locations of most minor settlements within a hundred miles.

Learning a Mechanic Skill might be very useful, especially for Crafting, and not just for Golems, could help to make Traps, Trick Weapons (like Rods of Rule or Combat), and the creating of useful Machines (Mechanical Logging Saws?).
Learning an Engineering like Skill might also be very useful.

I agree population (or lack there of) is his biggest bottleneck at the moment. He has multiple core buildings, a dungeon, the quickening, a land filled with resources waiting to be tapped, and the desire to bring out the best in his people.

No matter how many weapons he makes in the FoH he needs people to wield them.

There will be a time when population vs new opportunities to leverage ROI flip, but that looks to be a long way out. Even longer if he keeps bringing new cores, etc. which he will.

Could try to convince an entire scholars guild to defect and come to the MV. They would let him power through all the necessary basic research to unlock a bunch of his village-position holders' knowledge.

I'm guessing a librarian would be a great help too.

Well, Nexus DID send him a librarian... I wonder how he'd be able to convince them though.

He seems to be cheating so much already. For example the magic cores, the magic tree, the fruit of the Quickening.

Each time he gains levels in skills he has no right (beyond limitless) to have. True this is only for him, but quite the cheat.

For his settlement, I think the best cheat would have been to have the MV excavate the foundations of the old civilization. I don't know if digging down would actually reveal any ruins (that chapel could have been built underground), but settlement points could fix a ruin. Not a great cheat, but potentially powerful if a Tefonim building is discovered.

Another cheat that I would have thought would have been to use Futon to identify all mines and interesting locations possible in the area. I suppose Richtær would have only figured this out after he added Futon to his magic map, and at that point, the dwarves were already looking around and getting paid finders fees.

Richtær can have what Futon sees recorded in the map, then I would send him out in concentric circles around the village. All hidden villages should be identified this way.

The ability of scholars to make a mid to longterm impact depends entirely on how many highranking scholars they have. Currently I think Richter has most of the initiates he can have within the research cap for that tier without wasting points. If not he will have an overflow of points after the average level increase 2-3 times, at least until people start transitioning out of the initiate tier.

Also would a scholars guild be interested in the village? there isn't much of a market for their services. Nor is there much scribe work not already taken by Richter's own personal scholars. A guildmaster would also need to consider the consequences of having a falling out with their sole employer.

All that said, I agree a guild of scholars is a great idea. I think a small guild of highranking scholars would be an ideal addition to the village. Perhaps whatever association the runescholar(s) mentioned in an earlier book are attached to, depending on whether they are looking for more sponsors to finance their research. Which they probably are, research into lost arts and such is usually expensive. Richter also has a few artifacts they'd probably want to study either way.

Use Blood crystal, grow it cultivate it research it, tame super high op level beasts with it, even if that fails multiple times, worth it! because success will net him what +10 levels in blood magic?
Dungeon blood crystal.. use it wisely.

    Possible cheat:

Richtær is revived by HM. If his soul is already in the Chaotic feverment of the Land, we have seen multiple souls of Richtær at the same time. So a copy soul will come back to body #3, while body #4 comes back in a week.

Only problem is that Richtær #3 and #4 might become married together.

Anyway, this might allow for another companion too, which would make XP growth from quests quite lucrative. Probably a mental connection too, but might share XP from Alma.

We have seen multiple versions of Richter within the sea of chaos, but we don't know whether these were actual souls or created by Richter's mind trying to make sense of chaos. My bet is on it being the later possibility, considering pug tells us they put Richter's mind back together.

Could be, we know that Richtær has multiple shards that would make up his soul. There is hopefully no issues of Richtær's dual soul, if they are intertwined and become seperated it could become an issue.

Right one version revives by itself.. due to the multiple life's due to chaos gods Resurrection magics.

Then the version 2,3,4 is revived by Hisako.. or Beyan..
Actually Richter probably can reuse his dead bodies in multiple ways..
    Undead servant.. out of ideas..

Ingredients/Material for Richter Targeted Potions, Items, Weapons, ect.
Undead Decoys, Familiars, Pets, Long Distance Controllable Drones and Spare Parts in case Lost Limbs/Organs (might need Life Magic rather then Death?). Ingredients for Death Magic Spells, or for away to shunt Cursed into that Body from your own?
Ingredients for the creation of a Controllable/Possessable Homunculus.
    Ingredients or Blood Magic Spells.
It just a Decoy body to make people think that he is Dead.

Now that I think about, I have a pretty good idea about what would happen instead of creating a new soul. The second Richter would be a soulless monstrosity, something HM has said exists. If I remember right they are worse than eldritch magic users or void creatures.

I think the best things for Richter to do, after returning to the village are:
    1. Clear 2nd floor of the dungeon he started. (possibly find a core)
    2. Clear 2nd level of the mines
    3. Feed enemy bodies, and slain or captured creatures to the dungeon defenses.
    4. As others mentioned try to recruit high level scribes (especially researchers) to join the village. A core library/college/center of knowledge might be a powerful recruiting tool.
    5. If he can get another core (see point 1) a Core Crafter's Den would be ideal. Enalise, Burk, and the Sprite on loan from the HT, as well as any crafter's in Mama's caravan (fingers crossed for Leandra and Killik) could start pumping out some seriously cool gear given the MV's resources and a core building. Perhaps if he uses Nic's Monocle to create the building, it's effects would be transferred to the entire building making it a crafter's wet dream.
    • Richter should try to power level this skill and gain the crafting profession as it would synergize well with his enchanting.
    • With the crafting profession and his unconventional materials subskill and high creativity, Richter could start creating new Templates.

    Interesting, progressive.
Dungeon most likelly could privide a core, if you will venture to the labirinth through the dungeon. Now cause you haven't sacked a core to it.. doubt it will be generated as loot

I’m thinking 2nd floor of the dungeon from book 2 after he unlocked his 2nd power.

“When he arrived at the other side, he saw a second staircase leading down that hadn’t been visible from the central room. Sion and Daniella hadn’t even paused and were already climbing the stairs to get out. Yoshi had stopped though, and was staring down the dark staircase.”
