It's probably a carbon copy of most other games that FFG has put out, but still. I love the Civ franchise, even if they all are pretty samey.
I think the map is different on this one (hex) and the leaders/art is from the latest computer game. I've never played the board game version. Yet...
The only things different between FFG board games are the board and the art. They'll all involve cards, dice, tokens, and the rules will be fairly similar. There's usually no way to compete with the other players directly, either helping or hindering, but rather it's a race against each other and the game. So yeah. It may just be a reskin of all the FFG board games that have come before, but it's still Civilization, one of my favorite 4x game franchises.
