Maybe orthos can choose an evolution? We know that as the gold dragons progressed they could take on human forms. I don’t think ortho’s as a sacred beast could take on a human form. He may, as he progresses to underlord/overlord evolve into something more. A dragon maybe? I wonder now that Lindon has progressed past gold does anything (aside friendship) tie him and Orthos. And we’ve already seen evolutions from lil blue I wonder what she will eventually grow to. Maybe lil blue and Lindon will bond when he becomes Monarch.
With Yerin already so close to getting the sword icon, and now being a Harold. I can see her becoming a monarch within the next 2 books.
So that's the thing, aprently even going herald didn't bump her to arch lord, could take an extra book or two if the arch lord revelation eludes her, and it is apparently harder for heralds to touch icons, so while she has a head start she kind of just suffered a set back as well

They are extra as hell. Wonder if Lindon will incorporate a portion zeal's style with forging script circles or not. I don't think he will but it has the potential for interesting things given Dross and his already formidable souls smithing abilities
Seeing Northstrider’s and Fury’s advancement to Monarch didn’t seem to require insight or a revelation like advancement in the Lord levels. Seems like if you absorb a spirit and manifesting an icon you break through. Maybe it would just be an overall difference in power. But if they can become a Sage and Harold respectfully why not a Monarch. Plus Malice told Yerin people manifesting an icon before ArchLord at one point wasn’t so uncommon.
It did require an insight. Fury just knew what his was, but was waiting for the right moment to rise to monarch. I do wonder how they handle the aftermath of this. Hopefully without some kind of dragon genocide.

My thoughts on Fury rising is the dragon monarch was killed and the Akura’s and gold dragons were already battling over land. i.e the black flame empire. I would think the Akura Clan is going to expand into dragon territory With 2 monarchs
They were both peak arch Lords at the time though, (aside from having half the process over with) we don't know what would happen to someone completing the monarch steps before reaching that point. I don't imagine it would be bad but it could have repercussions
I can make a Cradle series by Will Wight forum. This is supposed to for Aleron Kong stuff. The site manager would like to have another subforum like Aleron that gets some posts.
That would be grand. Not that I think it would get nearly as many posts, but it might attract new people.
I think there is an Item in the shop that allows the creation of a new forum. But maybe @Paul Bellow can help out in the creation of a new forum for Cradle and move this thread over there with a redirection link left behind.
