I'm using the concept too. In Tower of Gates (ToG)... Soon! Just added a neat scene tonight. Psyched.
I wonder would it actualy be fun? this is a question i think is important to consider do we think of these alternate worlds as amazeing because we dont live in them sure they might be enjoyable but would they be the ultimate escape it seems like its more of a move really to real the human mind has an amazeing ability to make crazy seem normal how fast would that happen to VR?
Parenting done right! "Dad, you killed me!" "Well, what was I supposed to do? You were drawing too much aggro. Get good."
I found this thread too late, but I'm fascinated by the idea of VR addiction. If anyone is still following this one, are there other threads discussing it? More personal curiosity than anything. The first time I tried the oculus, fifteen minutes was all I could take before the headache hit. It was worth it though. Pretty cool.
I think it really depends on weather or not VR would amplify your emotions and feel real if it did it could definitely atleast be something people would want to escape into although i dont know if that makes it adictive.
