What are the other higher energies? We know that time is higher than chaos magic, but what would be the others?
Somehow the Land has been devoid of all Chaos and it’s magic. So with every chaos drop Ricther gets in his dungeon the banks will get notified that a new item has appeared in the land. We were told that the ley lines are sentient so does that mean all magic has sentience? Also, if there hasn’t been any chaos in the Land prior to the chaos seeds or Ricther releasing it will chaos now form ley lines?
The magic of Order is supposed to follow which I think is just ridiculous. It was stated that all Magic’s have there opposites so I think it was a “must have” magic type. Personally i just can’t by into order being a type of magic.
Could be interesting though. Spells that lock down chance tables, or remove luck comparisons in fights. Beings of order might not even have a luck stat/ or might be immune to the various ways the Stat interacts with the world. 1 less Stat needed to put points in would be a boon in itself at higher levels.
Why not? Chaos is effectively potential and Order is structure/ purpose. Without either of those creation cannot exist. Unrestrained chaos morphs and changes uncontrollably, we saw that with the lords of chaos and it was enough to temporarily destroy Richter's sanity. Unrestrained Order is just as bad, the chaos lords showed Richter as much. I'd take it a step further and say even the lords of chaos have just a smidge of order within them, because without it they wouldn't be at all. All things need structure. Similarly the Lord of Order must have some chaos, some potential for adaptation and change to be able to function in any meaningful fashion.
I pretty sure that Chaos Magic already existed in The Land, it was just incredibly rare, and quite probably a large amount of the Chaos Mana mostly likely tended to be Bound in some way to restrict it's effects on things. Having Chaos Seeds appear in The Land was ment to destroy The Land by adding Massive Amounts of Additional Chaos Magic/Energy to The Land that it wasn't Designed to Cope with, which is why the Chaos Lords took steps and interfered as they did to help to stop that from happening.
I find it slightly ludicrous as life, death, and elemental Magic’s all have their order. Same as light and dark magic. They all as we have seen follow a very specific order. Fire magic couldn’t be of a more singular order or direction then ice. Other then that I don’t see order magic much more then magic that places items, letters, or numbers in a sequence. After several years I still can’t find it in me to appreciate the invention of order magic.
All of those powers have elements of chaos as well as elements of order. I think order-magic will be defined by the very specific outcomes of its spells/rituals vs chaos-magics randomness and raw power.
Do you guys think there will be anything about the village in book 9? I was hoping to see what had happened to his friends, alma and the village itself.
Hard to say. There will most likely be at least 1 chapter about the MV. While I like seeing Richter out and about on his own without all the easy items, I miss the village. I don't think he's gonna make it back there just yet though. Maybe by the end of the book (if he really just bum rushes the imp quest) but I'm betting he gets back at the end of 10 or 11 :/
While i’d take this with a dubious eye, aleron did say that the village will be in book 9. However the village was technically in book 8 as well so...
I would think one chapter will be similar to the last looking into the villages mood and actions. Another perhaps the last might tell of more Goblin and mist villager interactions.
Science? Like for whatever magic Nexus uses to summon the mech-eagle to fight alma. Guess it might not be a higher energy though
