Might have? It seems reasonable that a Dungeon/labyrinth monster that leaves would still spawn a reliquary unless it severs the connection. Meaning that had the mauler been slain before evolving there would have been a reward for killing it. After it evolved and was bound to the forces of hell, it wasn't a Labyrinth creature anymore.
I haven’t seen discussion on this elsewhere, if I missed it I’m sorry. But does anyone have an opinion on whether richter blood will fulfill the dungeons motivations and whether he could get a boon from his own blood. I would argue that certainly his blood should be rare enough, and I think powerful enough. Eloras and Hisakos might qualify as well.
Maybe after he’s become Tier 2, although I’m a tiny bit surprised that it didn’t happen at the huge fight. Maybe not enough blood from the undead stuff.
Richter is just a human. Sure he has a seed of chaos inside him, but that's not necessarily affecting his blood or physical form. It could simply mean that like his uncle Richters soul is at the peak of the mortal ranks.
I agree, the chaos is in his soul, not his blood. Now he has a powerful bloodline though, so that may do something. Or if he gets a sweet boost from the tier 2 energy quest.
Could be that, or possibly he needs to go back to his own Dungeon before he gets his motivation reward. I'm inclined to think that if the dungeon can reproduce entire living beings from just the bones, it would also get the blood figured out and credit the motivation. Might be he has to kill a fresh one inside the dungeon before he gets credit for it but I don't think it will. With ~480 new beasts, 2 rare blood types doesn't seem out of the question
I can’t recall the actual quote. I do recall when the dungeon tasted some of his blood. The Dungeon made a comment about the taste of Ricthers blood. I assume it had to do with him being a chaos seed. It seemed to me that the Dungeon really liked his blood. That doesn’t necessarily make it rare. Although at the time how many Chaos Seeds were in the Land. I wonder what the ratio of Chaos Seed to other beings and creatures was at the time? Had the bloodstone ever consumed blood infused with Chaos? I don’t think it has. Ricthers blood might be considered rare. Then again it might just be considered new and tasty.
I'm assuming rare is as much a qualifier as it is a measure of scarcity. Goblin and human blood might be quite rare in some parts of the Land.
True that. That elder glass dragon blood would be a worthwhile sacrifice. I wonder if the container it was in contains enough residue?
Yes, It would be much less of a bone head move to have poured out a viles worth for future pursuits. A Nalgene bottles worth would hopefully be more than a unit worth. Maybe there is some stuck in the cap that blew off. Judging by Richters Dragonkin mark, all you need is a drop. That assassins vial was able to use drops as a unit size, put it in there.
Good points. He might just have to be back in the village or its dungeon for it to complete. I wonder if making the beasts itself counts.
I would guess Hisako is above tier 1 with how long she has lived (calling Sumiko young). She had a nose bleed from the mauler breaking her shield and that didn't cause an evolution in the dungeon (whether Richter would have gone quest credit is unknown, but I think it it would tell him if there was a new ability?). By that logic, maybe because his body is just that of a tier 2 human (same as a common evolution), he wouldn't provide a bonus either. On the other hand there is a chance that if he completes a chaotic flux of the body, he might have a rare body type after that? Or maybe the fact he has a bloodline and who knows if Hisako has one? I've always thought if he wanted rare blood for the land, his first stop should have been Alma (though maybe she isn't rare on a labyrinth scale).
I forgot this argument only makes sense if tiers existed during book 7 and doesn't if they were only invented afterward.
I'm pretty sure aleron would have to retcon those tiers into the rest of the books. Since I don't have any memory of them being in the books at all.
