Black Ice is a LongSword. Zweihanders/Claymores/Kriegsmessers and the like would most likely be classified under a GreatSword Skill. I like Kriegsmessers as a fighting weapon and it's design, but I like Zweihanders looks, a Kriegsmesser with a wavey edged blade like a Zweihander and a Ring Guard on both sides of the blade under the Nail Guard (third shorter guard) would be great.
There might need to be a retconn again to adjust that. Though it could be that one is an umbrella term, either long blades or swordsmanship. Then there is the part about it being a "regular" length blade... But I think black ice is a long blade and under the swordmanship skill.
I am not sure if we talked about this in the past (must have) , but all of Richter's companions could see his character sheet right? Doesn't that imply that they all knew he was still alive? And continuing down that logic path, that he is also tier 2? What were they all worried for?
Which also means they know he is cursed and can't respawn. They know about the demonic deal - actually i'm not sure about that one. Plenty of reason to worry. Being tier 2 isn't a guarantee of survival. Many of the monsters of the deeps seem to be of the second tier, and others could bring him down through special weapons - stun attack with sufficient duration that the creature can finish you - or large enough numbers that even if you kill a few thousands they'll feast on you in the end, eater style.
They might not actually know about his quest, it seemed like previously companions only learned about them when they were completed and gaining the rewards from the quests.
I'm pretty sure that they only learned about them after the Quests were completed, unless they could help in completing them in some way, like with Sion and the Black Soul Stones.
And I suppose the information for a companion might not update until the next time they person is seen.
That's a plausible explanation even if it a weird gimmick of The Land's system. It seems more likely that one's Companion status would be removed if your Companion dies and that there would be some sort of debuff. At the very least it would be so for Sion and/or Sumiko who are Soul Blooded to Richter.
Also Sion is the heir to ricter so if ricter would die, Sion would than inherit all of his belongings.
Should one be given knowledge that can't be verified at the time? Its like Richter's rep only being known about once people spread the word.
For some reason I was under the presumptionthat they could only see that information when looking directly at Ricther.
If I remember correctly Richter couldn't see Alma's information when he was that far away. So I doubt the companion information is viewable
It's August and he's not even giving updates anymore. That book is not coming out this year. If so it'll definitely be December, in my opinion. I clearly don't know anything, but it doesn't feel like he's anywhere near done. He says thing like "I'm coming up with cool things creatively" which doesn't sound like something that you would say about a book that was supposedly done earlier this year.
Exactly! The "cool things" he's coming up with are excuses and distractions from his lack of production.
