I hit the halfway point of my follow up to "Gamer Girl Caught in the Game" and new shiny ideas are popping into my head. So to help keep me focused and accountable, I'm posting my progress here. I sit at 30,958 words right now, which is longer than the first story by 7k. WIN
Screeching standstill. I should've dealt with this issue yesterday, instead of hoping over to a side project. The next chapter in my outline is a problem. I realized it can't be done within the rules of the game I have in this story. Carly would and could never do that. So frustrating. So after an hour of staring my outline down, I might have a solution. I just hope I don't have to rewrite too much of the remaining outline. In my defense, I really am as dumb as I look.
Rabbit holes. I was doing well this AM, writing like a mofo. Took a little break. Checked out a few sites in the web... Yeah, SEVERAL hours later, I'm mad at myself for going down the rabbit hole. It happens all of the time, too. If I had more self-control I could write ALL of the words in the world. Now I have to go find my mojo and get back into the story.
Gamer Girl in the Orc King's Harem. Have you considered doing a cross over with @Eden Redd or perhaps collobarating with her?
That might be interesting, but the money issues are crazy. Since books can be up forever, that means whoever publishes (and heirs) has to pay royalties forever. Scary.
You could just pay her for her contribution up front and buy out her part of the work. I'm sure she'd be willing to negotiate some six figure deal with you.
Today has been an epic fail. My Quest to Write All The WERDZ was crushed and decimated by angry Web Orcs. Then some sultry elfmaid lured me into the rabbit hole, and I wasted the rest of the day doing every BUT writing on my PC. I'm so ashamed. I wanted to finish this WIP today, but at best it'll be Monday (realistically Tuesday).
1423 words so far today, but Barnes & Noble knocked me out of my mojo when I learned they are going through accounts and terminating accounts with "objectionable" books. No please unpublish this and don't publish any more like it. It's you are in violation of our NEW policy, good bye. Banned. I have a lot of erotica up, so I expect to be shut down and banned at any moment. It's not really a problem, since B&N sales are pathetic. Basically the only thing that sells there for me is erotica, and not much. It's just the way they are doing it. Hopefully I can clear my head and FINISH THIS BOOK.
2407 words today. I'm just shy of 48k total words. I should finish the novel tomorrow, with just over 50k. Like yesterday, I lost focus when I went to a forum and read how B&N is terminating writers' accounts left and right. I have to stay away from TV and the internet until AFTER I finish writing for the day.
