Yeah, I'm feeling good. Not that many people bought the first (a thousand or so) and even less the second. And these books are very much different, imho. Can't wait to hear what you think.
Offer HACK free to people on your mailing list, specifically? Then do a weekend at $.99 before going back up to whatever the original price was. Only problem with that is that it doesn’t seem like Amazon is letting people review books they got for free, apparently. People who liked your first launch will buy it and review it, people who didn’t like the first one likely aren’t going to buy anything you put out again, and a limited time .99 release window will get the undecided folks to give you a try. Especially if you market the hell out of the special limited time offer.
Yeah, it's up to the market and so many factors. I'll launch at $0.99 for 1 or 2 weeks then depending up the price and ride it out or keep at a buck. Instant money would be nice, but it's a series and hopefully more people will be caught up in it this time. I think some (all?) of the standalones (shorter) will be a buck to bring people into the main series. Having the first book as a loss-leader at $0.99 isn't a horrible idea either. All depends on the readers. Momentum in the first 24 to 48 hours is crucial for Amazon marketing machine to kick in and notice the book. I'll be sending out ARC copies soon. Those reviews stay up when done correctly in my experience. Depends a lot on the readers account too. I did some more broadstrokes on the 12 book main series arc tonight. Good stuff!
2 of the 5 new chapters written. they're short, but i think they should be. the character will be explored more in a solo/standalone, but the chapter additions help fill in some of the blanks ...
This still needs a bit of work in a few places (after changes to book 1), but I'll finish up here in the next day or two and send to the final editor next week for the last pass and formatting. I plan to launch this the same day as book 1 but at $2.99 instead of $0.99...
Final read-through (on Chapter 20) then this is off to the Final Editor. Duh-duh-dummmm.... I'm rethinking launching 1 & 2 on the same day. I might space them a week or two apart. We shall see.
Approving final edits on this one. Then off to formatting. Need to get a new cover for this as well with the new branding. 'Cited!
ARC reader caught 2 mistakes in the 75k words. Not shabby! Their thoughts? I'm smiling. Making readers happy since the 4th grade.
Okay, I'm losing my mind. I could've swore I wrote a new blurb for this, but I can't find it. Here's what I just threw together... I'll tinker with it between now and launch date ... Monday! Ack.
