General Forum-i. Thought I'd mingle with the LitRPG after being a reading and gaming lurker for a long while. My favorite game is Skyrim with +300 immersion and survival mods. My favorite literature includes Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Poe, and Tolkien. That should tell you the kind of person I am.
Thanks for the welcome, guys! I'm loving this forum so far and am getting acquainted with the shops/quests/coin system. Very helpful and well explained place y'all got. I just discovered the LitRPG genre a few weeks ago and can't get enough of it. I've only skimmed through a few free ones on Amazon. I'mma head on over to the threads for recommendations. Glad I found this place.
How did you discover LitRPG? What brought you here to forum? Care for an elf cookie? They're made with organic tree elves!
I'm a hobby writer and a passionate tabletop RPG player. I mostly lurk communities since I'm incredibly introverted and simply prefer to read. Well, it got to the point where I went through the vast majority of posts, discussions and threads in my favorite subreddits/forums/blogs and anything related and the link-click-rabbithole led me to /r/litRPG. Then I went on to find more of that as its everything I like rolled into one, found this forum, saw that it was very approachable and behold, I crawled out of my lurking shell. Tree elves are my RPG-identity. I'm going to have to pass. Now, if you have any made out of those blasted high elves, I'll take 20.
Sounds like you'll fit right in. Tower of Gates is heavily based on the tabletop RPG experience - with a little MUD and roguelikes thrown in for good measure.
