Hi guys! I haven't been hanging with the litrpg peop,e for a little while but I still see lots of names I recognise I'm Amy, one half of the Realm of the Nine Circles debut team. My adorable cowriter and I busted onto the litrpg scene with mixed reviews back in January. Our book is probably better classified as gamelit, as we had a cyber thriller plot thread running through the game story. I've since jumped on another gig, and have been writing in the Kurtherian Gambit universe while PJ finishes up the Realms series. Though I do plan to jump back in (I have a major plot bunny hopping around that won't go away), it won't be until I finish my current series. What's been happening since I bailed? Still plenty of drama I see Who is still around? Who's not so much?
Welcome to the Forums of Doom...... I mean the Litrpg Forums, were we love it when other authors come to hang out with us. The drama is always going to happen as people are involved, and people equal drama.
Greetings. The Forums of Dooommm. I like that. *sniff Sniff* Ahhh. It's done. Espresso, Demon Lord of all Barrista, I summon you. It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion, it is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shaking, the shaking becomes a warning; it is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.
Welcome! Tell me more, what are you to writing now? Update: I mean, I see the title in your original post, but is that litRPG or gamelit?
Realm of the Nine Circles is litRPG-lite, but gets a little harder as the series progresses. It's got the game mechanics, levelling and stats from book one, but the first is has more of the 'real life' action/plot and world building. I also think the second book established the gameplay better than the first, as we follow the character as he rebuilds from level one. Book three is the series closer. Right now, I'm writing something outside the game genre entirely I'm working in Michael Anderle's universe (I know he has a ton of fans here - it's not litRPG or gamelit but still has kick ass action and great character and world building) in his Age of Magic division of the Kurtherian Gambit Universe. They want 12 or so books from me, so I'll try to fit in a few of my own projects between books.
