Unknown. They had a taunting ability in dragonlance. No idea how powerful this version would be, but kender are generally very good at making their enemies too pissed off to think carefully. Its part of their survival strategy. Looking at what Shinecatcher did to Terrod, he was basically frothing at the mouth, i'd say their taunting is pretty powerful. When have we ever seen him even close to that out of control, let alone while on duty?
O I totally agree. I just didn’t recall any magical taunts. Now if the Kinder bard (Shinecatcher) had a magical stringed instrument that might be a bit different. Adding a celestial pixie to the mix and you would have something really special.
That's not something I had considered at all. The kindir could actually be a pretty good match for buffing alongside the pixies.
Especially a bard with a magical stringed instrument. How would the Pixies Sprite fit in? Considering the Pixie had under gone it Maedong. Sorry about the spelling.
That was my point in the other post. With spy’s working in n groups traveling together. A bard with a magical instrument with fast and stick fingers, a pixie and sprite pair singing, a troubadour, and perhaps two more. Of course the other two need to fit in playing instruments and capable of fighting. Everyone needs a cover story.
I would say definitely less then half. But was that 50 really inconsequential? Our was that an attempt to be positive like at least the whole villiage didn’t go. Who’s to say that the Kinder captured and tortured by the bugbears didn’t come from that 50. You should also consider is 50 inconsequential to Flint because they don’t need any size of population? Where as with Ricther 50 is a considerable amount because he is trying to grow his village. Where as anyone leaving the kinder village isn’t a bother to them because the are trying to industrialize. Are you trying to establish the size of the village off of 50 being an inconsequential number to Exodus?
Flit was the defacto tribal chief and he would need a number of young kindir at home to take care of those who can not take care of themselves. Orphaned children, elders, handicapped kindir, etc. They also needed to stock up supplies for the winter, being a kindir doesn't prevent starvation. Those fifty who left would mostly have been youngsters who did not have a family and children to take care of. They were the ones free to travel at their own leisure. Considering the graveness of the current situation wouldn't far more kindir have stayed at home in order to protect their village?
