I've been thinking of a rare and epic level abilities thread. For example: Duelist (war-version) Requirements: Champion; in an active warparty; fame rank 5+ Before or during battle you can challenge an enemy champion to a duel. This challenge cannot be refused. The combatants will be summoned to a dueling ring. All negative and positive conditions will be paused until the duel has been concluded. Both combatents will be restored to optimal fighting condition (full mana, health and stamina) before and after the battle. The battle is to the death. Time passes at a 1:100 accelerated rate in the dueling ring. Warning: The outcome of this duel can greatly affect the fighting spirit of the armies. Max range for activation: 50 feet Number of daily uses: One for every five fame ranks (or one for every fame rank above 5 if fame ranks are capped).
Wait, why would they both be restored to top health after the duel? Wouldn’t one be dead? I assume you mean “the victor will be returned to top health” or something like that. And maybe make the cool down last longer. Otherwise 1 champion could take out another army’s champions in 1 battle, right? Especially as you have to be rank 5 in fame, anyways, to get the thing.
True, once per five fame ranks every week then, with a days cooldown. Though for armies that used champions there would often be champion duels beforehand. Its a good way to build up fighting spirit. It can also serve as a way to avoid a costly war, allowing one side to back down without being dishonored.
