    I made a list of things that excite me about LitRPG, and by all means it is not comprehensive. I hope that you can add your own likes to this list, and that maybe some may take inspiration from it when authoring their next LitRPG novel.

    - AI Girlfriends/Boyfriends
    - In-Game Girlfriends/Boyfriends
    - Outside the box thinking
    - Hidden Quests
    - Intuitive, meaningful crafting
    - How game immersion affects real life. Muscle gain, weight loss, accelerated learning which leands to intelligence boost, confidence.
    - Guilds
    - Game wide quest events
    - Unlocking new races
    - Individuality; standing apart from others
    - Beta testing
    - Class customization - new takes on classes like 'Judge'
    - In-game contest which rewards RL prize!
    - Streaming gameplay
    - Love houses to hint/tease at sensual acts in-game
    - How near future RL compares to now RL especially techwise
    - Gods interaction
    - All powerful dieties who represent different aspects of human nature
    - Special titles
    - Unexpected outcomes, going against the grain ie End Online npc assigning Lost his name and negative, soul-bound skill
    - figuring game mechanics out
    - The sales pitch of the VR company

    That's a great list. I agree with all but the VR sales pitch. I admit I can't think of one that has stood out and been memorable. Which books have had your favorite?

    To answer your question about pitch, I was most impressed by a short story titled Cupid's Compass by Leah Cypess from the Fantasy & Science Fiction magazine. It's not virtual reality, but it is about manipulating the brain with future tech.
