Nah I liked the explanation of Discworld better. the sun goes over the world then is snapped at by the world turtle so it takes time to come up again from the other side. Also it's flat because the creater -not god, there are plenty of those but one creator- was aiming to make the very first pizza. It was out too long and pests, buildings and stuff started growing on it like fungus XD
According to the Flat Earth Society (yes, I'm actually reading their wiki because wow), the seas are kept from dripping off the earth by huge walls of ice (which is what Antarctica is apparently). They're not sure what is beyond the "Ice Wall" that apparently protects Earth and keeps it in there.
I always wonder what kind of drugs you have to be on when you come up with those kind of theories. It's sad because the theory is as sound as when a baby drops his toy and thinks it's now "gone" since he can't see it anymore. Sadder still if there were no drugs or drinking involved. Imagine getting only the wack theory without the fun stuff!

Nah he discovers the world is actually an old man's brain and all those natural disasters are happening because he's developing Alzheimer after so long. the flat earther's ship sail out of his nose with a sneeze and only the MC is left hanging by a nose hair!

I can confirm that I have seen flat earthers who unironicaly used that image in there "teachings" and im preatty sure there are some who beleve something verry simmilar to discworld but i cant quite remember
