"it features a rainbow-haired, Chinese American hacker-heroine, as well as disabled and gay characters." Oh god, please don't have a Pianist wheel-chair defenestration scene. I think super generic hero archetypes came to be because going outside the box opens up a lot of incidental and unintended dark humor. Get enough spunky ABC hacker-heroine protagonists with rainbow hair and they might eventually become generic too. As a main character and not as side kicks, if we're talking side-kicks then thats already a thing. I'm definitely curious to see what a game designer thinks the future of games will look like with an infinite budget... multiverse or single game type? Its got to be a multiverse game hub no way the entire planet plays just fantasy/sci-fi games...
I've read her Legend trilogy. It was pretty good. My sister just stole the books before running off to college. I've seen this book marketed over Goodreads for a while. I may check it out.
