I'm lordtedders aka Edward. Back a long time ago I was playing Stronghold and getting my butt kicked by the computer. One of my roommates at the time came home and heard me yelling, "Cheater, cheater, expletive, expletive." He thought my wife and I were having a heated argument and he ended up leaving that night to stay with another friend. The next day he came home and asked me how things were with the wife. I told him everything was cool and he asked about the yelling. I told him I just yell at games and that Stronghold was made by a bunch of bastards. After that I was known as "Lordtedders" for reasons that elude me now. Somehow the nickname stuck. Anywhoo, I'm an old school gamer, both RPG and roleplaying and have just started getting into LitRPG which I seriously didn't know was a thing until recently. Looking for some good books and might consider writing my own someday when I know a thing or three. Thanks for having me!
I've only read a few (about 5) so far but I'm really digging the Awaken Online series that I just started. The whole alignment thing reminds me of old debates I would have with my DM back when I first started playing D&D.
Greetings...Which version of Stronghold? There was an old DOS version that was based on D&D. The old blue box where being a dwarf or an elf was a character class D&D.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stronghold_(2001_video_game) was the version I played. I wasn't aware of the DOS version despite playing a lot of DOS games back in the day!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stronghold_(1993_video_game) It was from back in 1993. Many years ago, when SSI had the licensing for D&D games.
