Got the idea from LitRPGreviews.blog... https://www.facebook.com/groups/LitRPGsociety/permalink/1483273588437564/
D. Rus. I can't recall now (Yeah, I'm getting older) if I read D. Rus or Kong first? For some reason, I think it was Rus. Someone told me he invented it, so...
And... apologies for missing YOU and so many others in the options. I didn't want to spend too much time on this. The conversation is more than the poll, I think.
My original comment was more off the cuff, but as a serious answer - I don't think of specific authors at all. It's like asking what I think of when I hear Pepsi - I don't think of Pepsi, I think of soda and move on. I get the point of the poll though, and saw a few other posts suggesting this (one on the LitRPG Facebook before it got shut down) - hopefully it works. I can't really vote because I feel biased. I know Travis far better than I know Aleron.
The original LitRPG was written by Michael Scott in 1994-97 in Gemini Game a full 20 years eariler than D. Rus or Kong. It may even predate the Moonlight Sculptor. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2535956.Gemini_Game
I still say Guardians of the Flame should be on the list - even without stats. I know, I know... heresy!
