The movie is opening over here in two days.

I just checked the theater for weekend tickets and oddly enough not even one chair was booked yet O__o

even B movies get booked over the weekend since I was checking one of the most popular theaters over here. Is the movie bad?

    U.A.E actually.

Also regarding the vid... she thinks monty python and star trek is an obscure reference from the 80's? Forget girl this one needs to get off the net!

As someone that's both read the book and listened to the audio version I get it. The book as 80's vomit all over it. I grew up in the 80s and only got 20% of the refernces in it.

Even as a female I know that Monty Python AND star trek is hardly obscure and completely the wrong decade o_O

I can't tell if the video is serious or making fun of people who think Ready Player One needs a "girl's translation." I was only able to get about a minute in before getting bored and wandering away. That's mostly a testament to how dull it is when Ready Player One just lists a bunch of 80s things for pages at a time, but the point here is that maybe at some point the joke or lack thereof becomes blatant and I just didn't last long enough to reach it. Whether or not it does, though, fact remains that the concept of Star Trek and Monty Python being exclusively male interests is so absurd that it sounds like a parody.

Yeah, she should've picked one super-scene and kept it short - under a minute at least. Make it more of a funny satire than a dig at the book?

YouTubers will do almost anything for those eyeballs.
