Slasher: Tabletop RPG lets gamers play out a slasher movie

The tabletop RPG game Slasher lets horror fans play out their own slasher film storyline using various tropes and stereotypes from slasher movies.

Don’t just watcher slasher movies… play them!

If you can’t decide between having game night or watching some horror films, this just might be the perfect compromise. That brings me to Slasher, a tabletop RPG set in the style of slasher films. Made by the fans for the fans of the horror sub-genre, this game ought to be a great way to spend a Friday night with your horror-loving buddies.

As you can probably guess, there’s a player that controls the killer, of the “Slasher.” The rest make up various stereotypical horror movie characters, with whom you’ll try to survive the night. But what really intrigues me is that there’s another player that gets to be the “Producer.” This person comes up with the storyline and the setting for the rest of the players to follow. That’s definitely the role I’d be calling dibs on most games!

Ha. So basically, the players take turns banging then everybody dies?

I think I'd call the GM 'Director' not 'Producer'. A Producer basically finances the movie and makes sure it happens. So in my game the Producer would be responsible for providing the beer and snacks!
