What really threw a wrench into the works, was that Porter was secretly a big, strapping, powerful Were-Hammerhead! Seeing the powerful shark-man standing heroically under the moonlight changed Carmen’s perspective of Porter in more ways than she could have ever expected. . There was a discussion earlier about how weird the romance genre is and I think this proves it.
I always get a chuckle out of these - not in a mean way. It's just amusingly creative. I think the oddest one I ever read was about a were-roller coaster.
how?? howwwwww??? who thinks if a were roller coaster was it inspired by that woman who married a roller coaster ride
Objectophiles are pretty well known in the psych community. There's one woman who was in romantic love with the Berlin Wall, if memory serves. And a bunch of guys take that whole "love your car" aspect a bit too seriously. It was even lampooned in the show Boston Legal, where one of the characters got dumped for a clock radio. From season 4 episode 7, "Attack of the Xenophobes" (2007) If anyone actually wants to see what brilliant comedic banter writing is like, I can't recommend this show highly enough. It's got William Shatner, David Spader, Candice Bergen, the guy who played Odo on Deep Space 9, and a few others I don't remember off hand.
