So what level are the companions now?

Sion, Terrod should be over level 20 now as the get the full xp from quests that Richter does. As of clearing the lair with the Ebon tusker they were at lvl 19 and 93 and 89% of the way to 20. Terrod is not a journeyman in anything but Sion was lvl 44 in archery as of that point. Elora was lvl 16 around the time she went for her profession. Randy was 47 and of course already a professional.

So I'd say Sion is around 30(since he went on the Lich fight), Terrod 28, Elora 22, and Randy 50.

 

The companions get 100% quest exp for all of Richter's quests, which is crazy. Level 22 would be very low with all that incoming exp (also she was level 22 as off book 7). Paradoxically enough, i doubt Randy moves past level 50 at the highest.

I think Sion level 32-33+ ish, Terrod level 30+, Elora quite close to level 30 if not at or above, randy close to or at level 50. Might be more, Richter gains 437,500 exp from quest rewards, enough for Richter to level several times. With Richter's new requirements for levelling the others could be closing the gap in level soon.

He is wrong about the 14% it is just added to the other modifiers, not a seperate modifier added to the base before the rest. There are other minor modifiers that he skips here. The from all sources bonus is added after all the others, so right about that.

 

Sion should get half the exp for the lich kill, that's seperate from quest exp, and as we know from book 8 (we finally see some exp for kills in this book XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD) a tier 2 around Richter's level gives around 50 k exp. The lich should give a few hundred thousand at the least. Its worth noting Richter mentions he will level several times, meaning 5-6 times. The challenge exp from the Lich should be very significant, especially for Sion as he is far lower levelled than Richter. A title wouldn't be unfair either, as well as an upgrade to a quality, considering he followed a plan laid by Richter that involved him being thrown off of the building with a sea of undead monsters waiting below.

 

Bottomline is they have advanced very nicely. Sadly Terrod is not close to journeyman in any skill so no profession? Randy could be headed towards his threshold. Also shouldn't Randy be leveling his admin skill? I know it gets slower but he's been running the MV for at least a couple months for most of the day everyday. That and running things for Richter should be the equivalent of Richter dual enchanting.

 

Terrods best hope is a skillbook. Otherwise he will lose out on a lot of talent points early on, which will be very difficult to make up for. Not impossible, as I imagine fighters will get profession quests as crafters do, but difficult and time consuming.

 

I believe you are correct for Randy. Last time we saw, his level was 41? In Administration. Though for him it is more like which skill out of the ones above journeyman do I profess in. He has also lost out on a lot of TP, for not getting it at, well level 10 if that was possible.

 

Hopefully if Randy were to get a profession in administration, he would get a massive windfall. Otherwise the lack of TP as level 50 is just sad. Maybe he will figure out how to get a triple profession.

 

I’m hoping Mama takes over running the village so Randy can be one of Richter’s full time adventuring buddies like Sion.

She is more of a staff/ workforce manager. I imagine her as Richter's minister of labor, with Randy as prime minister and minister for foreign affairs (basically in charge of diplomacy).

 

As the Mist Village gets more vassals and has a more outward looking focus it will be great to have Randy taking on more of that Prime minister role and Mama becoming minister of labor as you put it or head of domestic affairs.

 

I bet Elora has leveled enough to choose a specialization. If not she's super close.

 

She did, she got retroactive talent points like Richter did for professing in time from leveling to 16, setting her proffession base level to 10 and she only needs 10 additional levels to specialize so level 20.
After the lich fight she should be around 25-26 which puts her past her specialization level of 20. She should also get retro points if she picks a specialization immediately after that reward goes through.

 

She was level 22 in book 7, and got nearly 500 thousand exp from the lich fight.

 

She's bound to get an awesome specialization option for being bound to a quickening..

I'm thinking the potions being produced are about to get a serious upgrade.

Indeed. Might be different for pixies or she simply had not taken one as of book 7,

 

Also could be different because she is Celestial. She already gets more points per level. I have a feeling she is going to become more important soon.
