Paul just posted about the new Threadbare book by Andrew Seiple and I think it’s a good rec for your son. It’s about a teddy bear who is turned into a self-aware golem and gets pulled into a variety of adventures and intrigues centered around the little girl he loves. There’s quite a bit of violence, but it’s not very graphic. There’s also a fair bit of swearing, that I don’t think is too bad, but it’s not my call. Stuff like references to “shanking a bitch,” for example.
