In before Richter gets a kindle from the magic library. Always moaning about want of a wiki?

You have created a legendary object: The Reading Rainbow (pronounced RED-ING for copywriter reasons)

For accomplishing this amazing feat, you have recieved the mark: Bookworm

The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. Truly, your days of not taking your Lore studies seriously are coming to a middle.

Level 1 allows you to store 7 books (no spell, skill or expertise (or other new over powered item) books) lore only/ non magical. Comes with a 'find' function. Works like a holographic magic tablet you can 'summon' from your core mark. At level 1 must make physical contact or be inside library to exchange books (Extended to domain of mist village because core building). Passive knowledge gain of 1% of 1 stored book(s) per day, cumulative with reading from physical copy. Only once a book has reached 100% integration will it count towards your Lore skill, if applicable. Terms and conditions apply see store for details

There is an example in the books. The village necromancer whats-his-name recount in detail how he slept with a young lady and told her certain family secrets. She in turn sold the information to an information broker. From there the info travelled to a vengeful noble.

The sprites do not use money, but they still have an "economic" system, its simply based on obligations, favors and agreements. Like the trade deal with Richter, ten enchanted swords a month in return for the services of certain professed sprites.

    More of a barter economy.

I don't think the sprites barter much amongst themselves, they haven't asked for much of anything in return for valuable goods and services which they would if they expected an immidiate return.

I'm not saying they are communists, simply that it seems to me their system is based upon a rawer form of currency, obligations and favors, rather than direct exchange. Not being idiots, they likely do barter when dealing with outsiders, and even seem to be gathering currency for something at the moment.

Your Enchanting Skill coupled with your Personal Touch Talent has increased the grid space from 5x5 to 6x6.

I hope there is some kind of library in this city. Come On Library **blows on dice**! His 6c6 bag can probably hold a bunch of books. Though it is probably not public. He will have to sneak in, unless he wants to revel his status as a lord from another settlement.

What, books won't stack? Good idea about the bag of books though or a chest. Hopefully the opening is big enough for books to be put in.

Get the ones written in ancient languages, in the legendary section or epic section.

I definitely wouldn’t expect any public libraries. With the small amount of people that can be read according to Randy I would think only the wealthy and higher classes would any books. Considering the cost of making books by hand, the lack of people with writing skills would make books not only rare but very expensive.

    Lol @ Mister Bill

I like to think that will be the case with the Counts literate and very well to do friends. All the roots and branches of that tree should be separated from their possessions.

So a series of robberies against wealthy nobles? Might work if Randy has some insider knowledge on the layouts of homes as well as their magical security systems and traps.

Randy really needs a training camp at the Kinder settlement. No one else could come close to helping Randy at keeping his peoples awareness skills at their highest.

Any theories on the Library's Special Abilities? Personally, if it was made with the book of Akaton Evolution, he could get a random book of the same level and quality once a week or month.

There is a fair amount of it in this thread
POLL - New core building (book 7+)

I like the akaton evolution book idea. Use a higher power to add flavor. Hopefully it wouldn't also make everyone uncomfortable, but the chaos seeds would like it.

It would probably specialize in beastiaries and what creatures can involve into.

The process of making that book would be interesting. Can't wait to find out.
