It seems to me that the problem with beta readers is that they find issues which I then have to fix/revise/clarify. If everything was perfect I could be done already! *le sigh* back to editing...
No, those are the reasons for beta readers. The problem is that some beta readers don't give any feedback at all. Grrrrr
Solid beta readers are quite valuable...each one brings a perspective to the table which the author may not have considered.

It's the same problem with game developers and beta tests. Hell, any beta ever only has a fraction of the intended testers actually testing the content instead of treating it like an early access pass.
Seriously... pedantic bastards, picking apart my incorrect grammar, inconsistencies, and plot-holes. Always creating more work...
