Hello all, and happy (late) new year! Name's Rae and...uh, yeah, introductions, right? I've been lurking around the forums without signing up for a good few months now. Thought a new year was a good time to stop being a creeper. Gotta say, I was sort of overwhelmed and surprised to realize that this was a genre? I've been reading books, watching movies and anime about diving into games "for real" for decades, but hadn't ever seen anyone use the terms LitRPG or GameLit, etc., until last year. It was kind of an amazing find since I'd been dreaming about a book series based on the concept for a while. This has given me kick in the pants I needed to finally write it... So, yeah, I'm another aspiring writer. Granted, I'm a bit more on the GameLit (or GameLight?) side of things than the number crunching LitRPG, but hopefully that's alright. Now if only I can drag my butt away from the ConWorlding aspects to actually finish the prose. (Any of y'all on WorldAnvil? If so, hmu.) Anyway, I've found some really great series to read thanks to these forums, and have been enjoying the discussions that crop up. I look forward to getting to know y'all.
Welcome aboard. Upon arriving, you notice a scrap of paper on the ground. Picking it up, you find a map to the shops and a note that says buying a Used Typewriter will get you into the Aspiring Writers' Guild! DragonByte Shop | LitRPG Forum Seriously, though, welcome. Enjoy your stay, and let me know if you have any questions.
