Dr AK: I’m sorry nurse Geneva but could you tell all my patients I’m really tired of working with them on all their old illnesses. Maybe some of them could create new illnesses to keep me excited about caring for them.

    He’s working on a third book that isn’t #9 or god’s eye 2. It’s unknown what it’s about.

My crystal orbuculum has shown me his future. Alerons third project is centered around his real life. The majority of this book will be about how great things were getting shout outs and stuff. Until some dastardly fans started complaining about his writing time and projects. Ultimately he realizes people love his series “The Land” more then himself. Then going into a state of depression at the bottom of a can of cheap store margaritas. Aleron tells how he missed multiple self imposed releases from euphoria and later deep depression. It also tells how Geneva helps Aleron find his way back to writing “The Land Series” and better Margaritas. Aleron then realizes how Genevas actions helped him save his fan base and his highly lucrative living. Then they buy an island retreat where fans can pay a fee to portray themselves as their own character in the Land and meet Ricther in real life portrayed by Dr Aleron himself.

Sounds right. The other guess is that it’s about Roswan becoming a dungeon master or something. I think it’s supposed to be within the Land universe.

    .......

Very sad. Time travel is where series go when they run out of plot.

The Land is interesting because of where it can go. Unfortunately, I have joined the ranks of buying nothing from Ak( God's Eye, cartoons, Roswan's story, merch ,etc) until he can keep his word. I don't want to encourage him to chase squirrels.

I do enjoy the "what if" of this blog and appreciate the work you guys put into it.

Amen BROTHER! I am right there with you. I could care less about any new series or anything else. I’m waiting for him to keep to his word. So far all I see is a guy making promises he hasn’t intended to make good on. Only because he is doing what ever else he desires.

Aleron is definitely not anything like B V Larson or Craig Alanson. They stick with it turning out good books along their series every year. They really put him to shame.

The first dates he projected were March-2021 I believe, but the earliest announced via the newsletter was mid-year 2021. I get these things take time, we’d have all just been happier without continually missed dates. He’s on his own time and that’s okay, he’ll lose some community over it, but that’s inevitable and he’s accepted it.

    Ahhhh

    Ummmm

    Legend Dairy?

Dude, so are you thinking that Is a good update?

I mean, I guess, Aleron might have a time machine so he could go back in time and make that release date. Unfortunately That still won’t work for me because In my time line Aleron failed to make his release date.

It is the end of June 2022 here Buddy

He's already over 2.5 years from when he last released a Land book. He keeps going and he will lose his fan base. Look at Grrm who is starting to bleed fans, and he had one of the largest fan bases for an author. He needs to realize that people became his fans because of his books, not anything else.

I’m not sure what your question is, but my post was meant to highlight that half of our frustration comes from missed deadlines. If he hadn’t provided any deadlines at all we would be disappointed, but not frustrated.

    Half our Frustration?

The post above wasn’t really a question. If it were maybe it was questioning you like the famous New Orleans question.

    WhereYat?

Your post really seemed optimistic about Aleron hitting his last deadline. Which he would need a time machine to do. Of course that’s only one of any self imposed deadlines.

Like Bel mentioned above it’s only been 2.5 years and how at deadlines?

Lets be real. I don’t ever need anyone blowing smoke up my @$$ about what they are doing. If he isn’t working on it due to his other desires I understand. That’s all that needs to be said. What can any of us say? Hey if you wrote another Land book I’ll buy it but I’m not buying any of your other stuff.

I'd buy a third series book if it was packaged with the land book 9.

    Nope. No updates.

I’m puzzled by him doing it himself, too. Can’t a service do that for him for not much money?

I think that his issue (or at least one of them) is that he doesn't want to share profits with ANYONE: not a shipping company, publisher, editor, employees, etc.

Oh, ouch. That’s dumb. Especially when there are errors that are easy to catch in his books and others can make his job easier and more efficient. Plus, as a doctor, does he even really need much money from all this? Even if he’s currently away from it that’s a very decent fallback option, haha.

I think that it's VERY foolish.
He's wasting time and money to keep his percentage of a smaller payout.
As you said, a professional editor would catch his errors and get the books out faster.

Honestly, I think that he should have gone back to medicine to help out with how overwhelmed hospitals were during the first year of the pandemic. No one would argue that he shouldn't be saving lives instead of writing.
Plus, he may have gotten some inspiration from the new challenges covid brought. It's not like he could have written less.
