I'd like for Richter to find some Umbral Root when he's Underground, for the Ability Neutralizing Potion. For him to find a new Ally/ies. (and some new enemies of course) And for him to find out some more information on the Eaters. Plus of course gain at least one new Skill and improve on existing Skills. (and hopefully at least one new Spell)
Agreed, might have to spam a link to office 365 if book 9 comes out like book 8 did Or if it stays like book 8... Literally still riddled with errors
Yeah, there are a number of errors in that bad boy. Oof. Just re-read it last week and it holds up well, though!
Book nine needs to contain book 10 as well! How many months over the original self imposed deadline are we now?
Honestly I’m start to think Brent Roth when I think of aleron. Roth’s 2 books were awesome and then nothing. So sad
I agree but he is a totally different class of writer. Not making excuses for him failing to finish the series.
The storyline would be better off with a willingness to take a 2-3 year break to get all the ducks in a row. At this point a new author may be just what the doctor ordered. Personally I would remove some of the self agrandizing, the power snowballing (limits on limitless, limits on Alma's exp steal so she can't farm tens of thousands of exp executing lvl 1 chickens on a farm) double down on the troubles and expand on the secondary race conflicts such as the sprite-human conflict. Not in a way that casts one side as the bad guys - select groups such as poachers would be - but rather as groups with conflicting interests. Sprites want more woodland, more wilds, places they can thrive. Humans will want more cleared land for homesteads and small farms. Its a situation that needs to be managed carefully to avoid war. Its a place where an outsider, such as a powerful chaos seed, can cut through the history, the grudges, the scars, the bullshit and get to the key issues.
Nah, if you want a different author then check out one of the many other litrpg series out there, IMO. None of them really have this same feel, especially with the blue boxes and base building and everything.
