A fascinating explanation on why the Wonder Woman theme is so powerful and evocative.

Two of my favourite recent movie soundtracks (The Man From UNCLE and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) were created by the same composer: Daniel Pemberton. He was named the "Discovery of the Year" at the World Soundtrack Awards and nominated as "Film Composer Of The Year" in 2016. (Wiki)

I highly recommend you give the above soundtracks a listen when you get a chance.

    Drinking songs, you say?

I'm sad that Da Vinci's Notebook broke up. I've got all of their albums at least.

My missus and I have Spotify.

Still, have albums from some of the in house groups at the PA Renaissance Faire, but, really don't buy that kind of physical media that much anymore. Just takes up too much room.

I've got playlists...and I've been a big fan of The Clancy Brothers for years. Haven't been to the faire or some of their other events in a few years. Maybe do Celtic Fling next year.

I still call them albums because I'm old, but I actually bought them through iTunes and Amazon. They live on my phone, not a record rack.

I've currently got "I'm Blue (da ba dee)" and "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" stuck in my head simultaneously. This is terrible, it's going on repeat and just playing "I'm blue the herald angels sing da ba dee da ba die" on repeat.

Still not as bad as when I get four or more jumbled together. Last time that happened, it ended up being William Tell Kissed a Girl Friday and Called Her, Maybe (William Tell Overture, Katy Perry - I Kissed a Girl, Rebecca Black - Friday, and Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe). Man that was an interesting couple of days until my mental MP3 player switched to a different track.

Edit to add: speaking of songs that get all mashed together, I know this is country but it's six songs mashed up and hella surprising how well it works and sounds like one song:

One-Eyed Doll is my new band crush. A drummer and electric guitar duo from Austin Texas, they do this goth punk thing with an emphasis on creepy shit. Here:

Did they have something to do with The Devil's Carnival movie? Maybe the Devil's Carnival Alleluia? Something is hitting me as familiar.

They were in a video game, and they play the con circuit when they're not touring. I dunno what else they do, though - only stumbled across them a few days ago because I was in a weird place on YouTube where this is a thing:

They (the sock puppets) did an interview with One-Eyed Doll and I checked out their music.

Did a little research, they weren't involved, but, those are two very good movies.

Now, an acapella boy band parody!
