This is a problem because Richto is too OP and his firends are very ill equiped. Now Yoshi.. Terrad some other wannabe mainier dudes.. have crap... or really not good enough stuff. Literally they are the special forces of the Mists and their equipment is very average.. no rings of health, strength etc.. Having just say 5-10 of these Blackstone weapons for the special forces would be so so much more better. Some special arbalets/bows/ kindr shooting devices etc.. There should be a marketplace and a system where all the good stuff is send down the line f.e. If Yoshi gets a new +3 agility ring he gives the old +2 agility ring to scion etc.. An example would be when during Litch assault the belt of spell stealing was not even used lol.. by anybody.. This is one of the reasons why bonuses and a marketplace would make a lot of seance.. military could go hunt in the dungeon then go back and spend all the $$$ on better weapons/Armour/rings potions etc..
A sensible law, though I think its a matter of practicality as much as religious/ cultural beliefs. A mastercrafted blade would have far better stats at the same rarity due to the skillbonuses and rank bonuses (assumption, i know). Meaning that even if a master ends up crafting an adept level product, it would be superior to the adept level creation of most journeymen. A true mastersmith amongst dwarves is also able to enchant the blade, and no doubt there are advantages to enchanting your own creations rather than someone elses. The right weapon in the right hand at the right moment can make or break a faction. No one person is an army in the land, but champions can have a massive impact on the outcome of battles, we saw that during the battle against the goblins and their troll alllies. The fall of various champion broke the back of the enemy as much as the heavy loses they suffered.
I agree. Their lack of really good equipment does limit the impact of the elites. Other than Randy it seems no one has topquality gear designed for them, not even HM. For the most part however FOH forged steel is superior (goblins and kobolds) or at least as good (bugbears and trolls) as the weaponry and armor the enemy has shown.
A note on the HM, it was implied by Richtær (in first person I believe, ie. non-omniscient), that the HM robes had better stats than any of his gear. So those robes could be top quality gear designed for a caster.
Well its not that they dont have any equipment.. avg solder of the mists is better Equipped than the equivalent in yves.. still this really good for basic troops, but not for the special forces..
Not so sure its better than Yveian gear, we have not really seen what they have. With their wealth and power they certainly have the potential to create better gear than the village even without a core forge of their own.
And its not just the special troops. The HM made the trade deal for a reason and that was just for short swords with life damage. So clearly the Sprites lack the forging side of things. Once there is a portal between MV and HT the troops of the two will start balancing gear wise. MV makes forged weapons and HT does the bow side of things. Yoshi invited Richter to go through the Uddo Rengai (sprite special forces training) my guess once he does he will make it a priority to gear up his fellow special forces troops. Maybe even another trade with HT.
He might have been able to contribute before had he been made aware of T2 research/been serving under a tier 2 lord, but I think his proffession provides a good example of how even though he is limitless he can't initially access things beyond his current Ascension.
