I know we already got ourselves a music hall going in the Tavern but this idea amused me. What's your theme song? Or the theme song/intro for your books? I'd like to think mine would be this:
I’m a complicated person so it’s hard to pick just one, but lyrically I think this comes the closest. I’m a closet extrovert. This one comes as a close second since my natural response to someone who says “You can’t do that” is “Watch me.”
Pretty much my theme song whenever I'm feeling the non-personal-writing deadline pressure. Which is pretty much all the time, so...
It's an obscure song but I love it. The change in tone in the third verse is the punchline that makes it my theme song. The lyrics are about the Lamentations of Lucifer of how he fell from grace just for speaking up, appealing to the humans around him that he is now "nearly human" and just like them. The third act he uses the same words just in the different tone, showing exactly why he fell from grace and his real thoughts on the matter though the words hardly change. Same thing, different perspective. It's all about perspective for me.
I've had a complicated life and this song keeps me powering through it: But what really defines me are A E S T H E T I C S:
