Each time I come here I tend to see me, guests, and a number of robots.

So who invited the robots, and what are they getting up to in here on their own?

I mean, does the bar serve machine oil or something?

Except there is no AI yet.

Just complicated stupidity which companies are touting as AI, because it sounds good and they dont actually know what AI is.

Or maybe it's just not revealed itself yet? There's an idea for a book. :)

But yeah, they still have a long way to go. A few of us here are tracking the singularity and AI related material...

It's one of our longest running threads here at 25+ months.

    That's a lot of dialogue! ;)

Someone tried to tell me once I had too much dialogue and not enough long, blocky paragraphs in my writing. Heh.

AI is such a fascinating topic.

I think so too. And with my series, I went with the benevolent AI instead of the malevolent one which is the normal.

I don't do long blocky paragraphs anymore. I found my pacing improved when I started using shorter paragraphs. And fans responded positively to the pacing. Long paragraphs can bog the reader down. And that is not a good thing for what we write.

Was that you? was deliberately done as all dialogue. And it works. imho anyway. :)
