Bethesda announced a new game in the Fallout series, which is called Fallout 76. I'm so excited about it! Bethesda'll reveal more information about the game on June 10.
Heard vicious rumors that it is a MMO or a PvP game. That would be sooo Bethesda to go away from the series' strengths. Sigh.
It is supposedly set at a really interesting and different time in their alternate future history of what happened when-ness. That is kind of cool.
Yeah. Seems like it’s going to be something like a prequel to all the previous games in the series.
Vault 76 was a control Vault, so I'm curious about what will come from it. Honestly though, why couldn't it be Vault 77? I would have loved to play that one.
It's rumored to be an "online survival game", but what that means? Not really sure. It could be base-building. It could be PVP. It could be an MMO! They're being kind of hush-hush about it so far. It's supposedly taking place in 2102, which is 60 years before even the first Fallout. So only 20-30 years or so after the Great War.
No matter what, I'm sure it will be better than "Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel" on the PS2. Fourteen years later, it still irks me how you couldn't even zoom in the slightest bit on that top-down view.
They seem to be making it sound like it's going to be in the Virginia area, which, for Kari and I is just south of where we live. However, right now the YouTubers are churning out rumor after rumor vidya. Trying to one up and out bait the other for clicks. Hell, I think some of them are going to begin gladiatorial combats for the right to combine rumors and call them a leak.
