I haven’t read many series that are explicitly tabletop.

Drew Hayes’s books were the first I read and, in my opinion, the ones that handled it the best. I tried Bevan but DNFed because I found the tone abrasive.

A lot of books out there clearly use a d20 system, but either state that it’s an MMO or don’t allude to what play style the game is (VR vs tabletop etc.).

For me, core system is tabletop d10 but modified to suit an MMO environment.

Are you thinking more in terms of game mechanics or story when you ask for tabletop reads?

There's a guy (can't remember his name offhand) who has the Tabletop Fiction domain. He joined up here, but we haven't heard from him in a while.

I might eventually nuke this sub-forum if it's not being used? Not sure...
