I'm super interested to see how releasing two versions goes for ya. Looks like, as of me writing this, the NSFW version is much preferred! I hope these do well!
The only one being recommended by Kindle is the author’s cut (and I think just having “author’s cut” on the cover is influencing that ratio a bit, too), so that could have a bit to do with it.
They are promoting the author's cut because it is selling more. it's a rich get richer kind of thing that amazon does. If the book is doing well they promote it more.
That explains that then. Still think the “author’s cut” on the cover has an effect. We’ve been trained by Hollywood “director’s cuts” to expect more stuff in that edition so it comes across as a better value or bigger bang for the buck (bigger bang... heh heheh heh heh). It’s on my to-do list though. For some reason I can’t seem to pass up your books.
Huh. Even my amazon follow notifications/dashboard isn’t registering the PG-16 version. It’s only showing the Author’s Cut.
Just finished, great read. Now I have a problem do I encourage you to write book two or book four of Alpha World.
LOL, AW4 is already with the editor, it should be released around March. Writing AW5 right now, and when i finish that i should be moving on to AG2.
Okay I'll wait for it I can be patient, I've been waiting for book 3 of the kingkiller for what like 8 or 9 years now.
