I think I'm getting better daily numbers, and more consistantly, because I took the advice to take on a ghostwriting job. Now I have a firm deadline! Now, if I can just put my that kind of dedication into my own stuff.
Ugh... with my internet down at home, I can't actively update my word count right now. I'll be updating semi-regularly, to be sure.
I achieved my 50k word goal for the month! Wahoo! End of month stats Total words written so far this year: 766793 Total words written in December: 50218 Daily average this month: 1619.94 words per day Titles finished this month: 3 Titles published this month: 1 Titles currently in the editing/publishing que: 3 End of 2018 stats Total words written in 2018: 766793 Total words published in 2018: 1080719 Total number of titles published in 2018: 26 Now let's make 2019 our bitch!
Went through and totaled up my work for the year. I started writing my first book in January, and finished it in March. The following two months I worked on the second book and finished the third in October. Since then I've done a few side projects, but the only major project is what I've been working on in the same series, and I'm still only about halfway through it Book 1 Infernal Engineers: Into Endaria : 117,747 words Book 2 Infernal Engineers: Catalyst:117,116 words Book 3 Infernal Engineers: Pathfinder:106,919 words Current project Book 4: Sky Drifters: 67,275 words Total: 409,057 words, Er do I add this to the spreadsheet? Or something or do I need to figure out the monthly totals if I want to compete for za brownie points? Edit: just noticed you wern't doing page count, and I've not yet formatted my current project for the same book sizes as my others, so I had the wrong count there anyways.
You could add them to the old sheets for posterity, but no reason to really. Seems like a lot of work. Heh. Impressive output, though! I added the Jan 2019 tab to the spreadsheet today. I need to get cracking again.
Meh I just wish it was a bit better. I really don't do much more than my classwork and my writing these days, I don't really even play many games anymore. So really, I have little excuse to have a better output considering how fast I can write. My goal was to finish my current project before the end of the year but didn't quite make it. I still have a long ways to go, and then I have to go back into my main Infernal Engineers arc and finish it with another book. I'll be rewriting my first book quite a bit and probably the ending of my third book as I really hate that ending, as it was just pure laziness on my part. It does feel a bit overwhelming at times, but I know it just has to get done sometime. I really like the series, and it's enjoyable to write about both Endaria, and my futuristic earth setting.
Ack! New year. New struggle. I always seem to have a tough time starting on Jan 1st. But I'm slowly getting back up to speed.
Put me back in, Coach! Despite being incredibly busy right now I've still managed to get some words written on my next project, and after this week I'll be able to get even more done. ^_^
Sorry if I took you out to fit someone else in. This is Writer Survivor or something! Go ahead and pick a column not being used. I think you can just change the name?
Added the words written so far on my current project. You can see right where the practicum started sucking away all my extra energy. XD Getting back on the horse, though, now that I've had a decent night's sleep for the first time in 2 weeks.
Man, I'm struggling to get words down this month. I don't know if I mentioned it here or not, but my wife is very sick. She spent the first week of Feb in the hospital. Now, in the past, I've been able to write at the hospital, but this last hospital had so much activity going on around me to concentrate. People in and out (she shared a room this time). She's out now, but in the next two weeks she had multiple appts, plus nurses and Phys techs are scheduled to visit. All of it disrupting my mojo. Hopefully, by March, everything settles down and we can get back into a routine so my writing becomes more natural.
