You attempt to cook the elf and roll a 1. The latrine is well used for two-days. You're unable to adventure for 26.5 hours as you attend to your inner self and heal. Meanwhile, Mr. Canhoot arrives in his wagon with fresh Elven Cookies. You buy the lot of them and heal-up in no time.
Not since the Great Elf Shortage, aka the Time of the Elvish Departure... However, they're made from the finest gluten-free faux-elves ever raised underground in magical cauldrons of flesh and bone. Honest!
