Comma there are super few mistakes in there, and such depth is literally without comprison in the genre. Also why limit him on his work, he probably could release 2 books in this time or 1 big one. Also 8 was super sweet, Ricchto alone sh*tting in a cave. Majectic masterpiece. But literally it was great. MC in a dungeonlike environment, has nothing, explore, do stuff.. I feel that most current books dump a bunch of extra items/skills/abilities/gold... its like playing any game on super easy. Not that interesting, though might be fun if you lose most of it in the begining.
Oh you want torture porn where some totally unprepared arrogant, neckbeard goes to a dark soul eque verse set on apocalyptic difficulty, with a no cheats character, no drops/ exp for killing randos and death never means a release from suffering? Where he has the stuffing beaten out of him by base level 1 gobos with a third of his stats and ten times the skill? Cause that's what I wanna read. No more ridiculous cheats, insanely lucky breaks or unearned loopholes found in chapter 1. A strong character has the strength to persevere even if it means crawling around in the mud to hide from a couple gobos, laying still for hours as worms and other insects crawl over them. As bloodsuckers of all sorts attach themselves. The perseverance to throw himself on his knees to beg the goblins to take him as a slave rather than take his life. Life however horrible after all means you have a chance of escape, of growth, of vengeance.
Absolutelly. For those who are here, its not uncommon. The lucky lucks luck was maybe ok for the first 3 books not Every book in the series... Now that I think about it. I'm not sure how lucky was he to build the golem in the first place. He spent multiple hours with very minimal breaks... he did have the monockle.. but still. This was a super risky & lucky event.
He released a youtube video where he talked about the new books getting longer, so we know that it is nowhere close to being released. Hope we get it by years end.
Yeah, it seems like he may have taken some of the feedback about book 8 to heart and gone back to polish book nine a little more. I would prefer a better product and if that comes with a longer wait then I’m not really complaining (much).
Imo, I would rather wait several months or even half a year if it means we get a higher quality book, and of a much longer length than book 8.
I, too, want a high quality book but we’re on book frigging 9. Why can’t the good doctor be even remotely close with his predictions for when his books will be done? And he doesn’t have the convention excuse or, apparently, the working at the hospital one, either. It’s mystifying.
Not sure about lenght, but would hate a cliff hanger, We need some finishes like finish the Ogre city looting part, defend MV, Hunt in dungeon, maybe raid bugbear camp, and integrate the new migrants... As far as lenght is concerned only the first part about ogre city can be oh say 3 books... Book 8 was 2 days underground. Book 9 is longer so 3 days underground. Book 10 will be the finalle of the underground traveling last 2 days. magnificient.
Book 9 is actually a side story, it lasts years, but ends right where Richter meets the orc group. It's a rich history of Omru, the underground empires and then the final chapter is just a list of trades between the city and surrounding settlements with one big and suspicious looking purchase from a nearby city. The epilogue is the orc fight with the wurms and meeting Richter.
Ak just announced in youtube vid. That hes working on 3 books and comic... maybe aditional projext. So he does not dig deadlines it limits his creativity. we will Enjoy book 9.
Ugh. This will lead to more like book 8, I fear. He keeps adding stuff to the Land so maybe it would be a good idea to limit his creativity a bit.
He also said that now he has like 20 parts in comic written and will start releasing it on some platform in 3-4 mo so then hell have +- 40 chapters... dude
Yeah, and he should be more focused on book 9, IMO, or at least now he should that he has so much of the comic done. It’s good for his patreon folks but I assume he makes way more money off of his book sales.
