Even just a couple months time gap would be beneficial, or a highlight reel like book 5 that propelled us forward a few weeks.

They will come. But right now Richter is in the foundation stage. Takes time to build an empire.

Once the bugbear assault on the village, we get into autumn and winter. That's probably not a good time for warring in the land. Not in the mountains, though I expect supplies will be moved through the deeps.

What do you all think of the Kombat Form (choose your destiny) the pixies have, Is it worth developing at all? Those claws and wings might have some sweet upgrades :p

I remember reading manga where everyone in a school is being killed by weird creatures. When a bunch of student form a herd in the gym to protect each other, they start having holes appear in their chest straight through. This creature was like a Pixie or wasp creature with sharp claws and incredible speed. It would fly into people and claw a hole through them. Which is knew the name of it still, maybe God's Game.

If pixies learned how to locate and open arteries during a battle, they could slice open a few arteries on each enemy and rapidly turn the tide of battle. This wouldn't be very useful against undead, carapace-bearing monsters, or well armored sentient beings though. Although as I think about it, lacerating an enemies eyeballs seems rather effective as well.

They don't even need to take out the eye, just going for it would be a major distraction in battle. Harass and distract.

    True.

On a side note. I can imagine the pixies using something like a blow gun to launch poison darts from just outside melee range to harass enemies from a safer distance while applying various debuffs and DOTs.

True, blowguns are good, in addition they have their mana blasts. Given that they are racially bound to get +1 intelligence per level, they may as well use the blasts.

The life pixies don't have those blasts, but with their healing abilities they are better suited as critical response healers. On the crowded battlefield, being small, nimble and able to fly above means you'll be able to get to a lot more people than anyone else, no matter how much more powerful they are.

Pixie healing might not be enough to fix a gut wound with major bleeding (not until they get into the really high levels at least), but on the other hand it might just fix enough to keep people alive, the way a first responder works to stabilize in our world.

There appears to be a limit to how often the pixies can use their blasts. This limit will almost certainly increase, but will likely still remain in place. Having conventional weaponry to use in conjunction is just a good idea. Mages tend to carry wands after all, for the exact same reason. Plus using a variety of poisons could allow them to liberally apply an assortment of debuffs. This fits in nicely with the support role that they seem destined to play.

I thought they had just a regular blast and seperate healing ability.

Any way you look at it they need to find a way to power level pixies in the village.

Distract would indeed be a good Enchantment for them, reducing the enemies concentration. Reducing until they can't see because the eye got cut.

I think any future malleable iron should be used for pixie protection first and foremost. Best armor rating seen so far without slowing them down or weighing them down.

True Silver is much lighter and more than twice the defense. But it counts as light armour whereas the malleable iron does not count as armor. So one could be worn beneath the other.

Yep, Malleable Iron UnderClothing, and for that matter Inlays and Inner Coating on regular Fabric Clothes, and Mages Robes made from it.

Am wondering if there is other types of Malleable Metal then Iron? Malleable Silver, MoonStone, Cobalt, Ebony, ect?

Might be a tier 2 / level 2 version of the normal metal that only comes about when harvesting creatures that use said metal? If so any creature with a metal carapace could have it, though the chance of harvesting it from a tier 1 should be smaller.

So its really just a piece of metal that can meld with other pieces of malleable iron. Given the relatively small size of the individual pieces and it being extremely light weight as well as flexible i have to agree this is perfect for a pixie. Mold the metal, and enchant it once done so it will gain the advantage in durability.

Would like for Richtær to get the next rank of Herbalism, so he could get the details of that Pixie clothing made from a celestial Quickening leaf. It might also have good stats.

The pixies may get an extra boost too, due to the truesilver coming from their celestial tree

I would like to know who is making the pixie armor? I doubt Krom can forge diminutive sized armor from truesilver. It would likely have to be forged by another diminutive or tiny being, or made by a crafter. But crafting armor and items seems to be much more exacting. Perhaps Richer could figure it out, or perhaps it could be created in whatever manner sprite armor is formed?

That iron is 1/4" thick... probably not so good for a Pixie. Probably needs to be 1/24" thick for them.
